Harry PotterHarry Potter and the Order of the PhoenixHarry Potter set to cast a spell again!HUDDERSFIELD bookshops are bracing themselves for a new outbreak of Harry Potter fever. The fifth instalment of the boy wizard's exploits hits the stores in June. More than 300 reservations of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix have already been received at the New Street branch of Ottakar's. And 2,000 copies have been ordered to go on the shelves. The books go on sale on Saturday, June 21. And the store will be opening its doors to eager customers at one minute past midnight. Manager Glyn Oliver said: "There is a very, very strict publishing embargo. "Interest in the new book has been building since last summer. "As soon as the title was announced, interest just rocketed,' he said. "We have been getting about five people a day coming in and ordering a copy of the book. "The interest is still there, even though it has taken so long for this to come through." The book is published by Bloomsbury in hardback and costs £16.99. Mr Graham Lyth, manager of WH Smiths in Huddersfield, said: "Demand has been phenomenal and it is only going to go one way. "I have never seen this much interest in a book in advance of its publication - including the other Harry Potter novels." The shop will also open a minute after midnight on June 21. "I think parents up and down the country will have one of the quietest weekends of the year because their children will all have their noses stuck in the book," added Mr Lyth. Mrs Elaine Beardsell, owner of the Toll House bookshop in Holmfirth, has received around 50 orders - many of them are for three copies! "I have had a lot of orders, and that is without putting any posters up," she said. "I'm getting e-mail inquiries, as well. It is going to be huge." Mrs Sonia Benster, of the Children's Bookshop at Lindley, said she had reservations for Order of the Phoenix running into three figures. But she felt it unfortunate that the media spotlight was always focused on JK Rowling and her unlikely hero Harry Potter. "I am delighted that JK Rowling has made children's books hip," said Mrs Benster. "But there is so much other stuff out there that is equally good."
